today we went to the dentist. the kids did great ~ cooper only had one small cavity (he usually has 2 or 3) and an abscessed tooth that needs to be pulled. i had to drag him (verbally not literally) into the dentist today so next weeks appointment will be a dooosy. alice kept trying to climb in the chair when eliza was getting her teeth cleaned so the dentist let her get up and lay next to eliza but when he tried to look at her teeth she sealed her lips shut, it was so funny!
at the beginning of the summer we made a learning chart for the 3 oldest. each cart had a list of activities or chores i wanted them to learn. they had to complete each task 5 times and then they could pick a prize from the prize bag and when all tasks were complete they get to go clothes shopping/date with mom. i planned it so they would finish their charts right before school so the new clothes would be for school. sophia was the first to complete hers. this summer she learned how to swim, clean her room on her own (she still requires a lot of encouragement from me) vacuum, set the table and empty garbage's. I took her out a few nights ago, she was very excited to be with just me. we had a great time getting a few outfits, school supplies and we enjoyed sitting together eating ice cream cones. sophia will be decked out in a princess back pack, princess shoes accompanied by a stylish princess lunch pail.... i can't believe my princess sophia will be in kindergarten this year. cooper and eliza are very close to finishing their chart too, i look forward to spending time with them. considering i spend all day everyday with my kids ~ one on one time is a rare occurrence!

What a great idea. Please post a picture of that princes on her first day of school.
It is hrd to believe Sophia is growing so fast. I'm glad you are using the incentives to help them learn. It will pay off. I also want to see a picture if you get time. It is hard to get everyone readyso early.
